To the next generation

TO THE NEXT GENERATION

My heart is heavy, but I share this with love and compassion for our families and our future.

Women were not designed to be the head of households. God’s design from the beginning gave men the mantle of leadership in the home — not because women are less, but because we’re called to different, beautiful roles. The absence of a man in the home has caused such confusion in the younger generation. Boys are growing up without fathers to model strength and protection, and girls are growing up without that covering to show them what godly leadership looks like.

Women are designed to be married, to be teachers, to pour wisdom and nurture into the next generation. Titus 2 tells older women to teach theyounger. That gift of teaching, of raising up children in the way they should go, is sacred. When we’re forced into every role at once, something gets lost.

And we have to ask: with the rise of crack cocaine in the 80s and 90s, and the criminalization that swept through our communities, what has happened to the man? So many fathers were taken out of homes. Our sons watched that. They carry the trauma from broken marriages, from prisons, from a culture that tells them they’re not needed. Mental health is crumbling because people are living outside of the order God set in place.

We’ve got issues of gender now where nobody knows who they are anymore. We’ve lost things the next generation will never experience — family dinners with both parents, a father’s blessing, the safety of clear roles. Instead, we have generations looking to influencers for role models, chasing likes and attention, but starving for real truth and real love.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about calling us back. Back to marriage. Back to mothers teaching and fathers leading. Back to healing the trauma so our children don’t inherit more brokenness. The world needs strong men and godly women, each walking in the place God designed.

Let’s pray for restoration. Let’s put on the whole armor of God and walk in the Holy Spirit, because only He can heal what’s been shattered. Our children deserve better than confusion. They deserve truth, spoken in love.
