The Power of Real

The Power of Real-Life Connection and Staying Aligned

There’s nothing like meeting people in real life. Real connections happen face to face — with people who actually see you every day. Not just online profiles or curated posts. Not just someone who was a friend of my sister’s, who I met online, who’s combative and thinks she’s highly educated.

Here’s the truth: No one is “educated” and done. If you earned a degree ten years ago, it’s outdated. You have to keep learning, upgrading your skills, and growing. I’m a lifelong student. I keep learning and growing because life doesn’t stop teaching.

When the Holy Spirit has you aligned correctly, it will change you. We are to put God first. That’s the order. The man is the leader, the woman is a nurturer, a teacher. When we put man before God, everything falls out of balance — right down to your mental health.

I know this because my mental health collapsed when I was not aligned correctly. When God is not first, your peace leaves. Your clarity leaves. Your strength leaves.

But when you’re aligned — when God is first — you start to heal. You start to see people differently. You start to crave real community, not arguments online with people who don’t know you, don’t see you, and don’t walk beside you.

Real life is where we’re seen. Real life is where we grow. Real life is where God puts people in your path who sharpen you, not drain you.

So I choose in-person over online noise. I choose growth over ego. I choose God first, always.

Because when you’re aligned correctly, everything else falls into place — including your mind, your heart, and your relationships.
